Sources: Everton midfielder wants January exit after overseas-move 11th hour collapse
Everton midfielder Beni Baningime wants to quit the club in January after failing to make any first team headway this season, Football Insider understands.
The DR Congo rising star, 21, came close to joining Danish side Brondby in August only for a deal to collapse at the eleventh hour after he had jetted overseas for talks.
An Everton source has told Football Insider that Baningime is eager to play first-team football and is frustrated he has failed to progress under Marco Siva.
The defensive midfielder hoped he would get some senior game time but had not made a single matchday squad until he was named in the 18 for today’s Premier League clash against West Ham.
Baningime was promoted to the bench after injuries ruled out Morgan Schneiderlin and Fabian Delph, while Jean-Philippe Gbamin has been ruled out until January after having thigh surgery.
Andre Gomes and Tom Davies were paired against West Ham in the central acres.
