Sources: Gillingham reject multiple Charlton approaches to sign 25-yr-old

Charlton have been rebuffed in their attempts to land Gillingham star Jordan Graham on transfer deadline day, Football Insider understands.

Addicks boss Lee Bowyer had made the 25-year-old his top target before today’s deadline as he looks to build a side capable of winning promotion back to the Championship.

However, a recruitment source at Gillingham has told Football Insider they have turned down several enquiries from Charlton for star performer Graham as they do not want to lose him.

Graham has been a revelation for Gillingham this season since joining on a free transfer from Wolves last summer.

He has scored eight goals and provided seven assists for the Gills this term, including a last-minute equaliser against Sunderland at the weekend.

The winger is out of contract at the end of the season and he is sure to be an attractive proposition to a number of clubs, including Charlton in the summer.

Several Championship sides are understood to be keeping tabs on the skilful attacker and could move for him on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Graham began his career at Aston Villa before joining Wolves in 2014.

He impressed at Molineux before injury curtailed his progress.

Loan moves to Oxford United, Fulham and Ipswich would follow before a permanent move to Gillingham in August of last year.

Charlton have completed four signings in the January window so far, Ronnie Schwartz sealed a permanent switch to The Valley, while Liam Millar, Jayden Stockley and Matt Smith all joined on loan.

In other news, a Luton Town forward is set to join Oxford United on loan for the remainder of the season.
