Leeds United midfielder Robbie Gotts is on the verge of following Jordan Stevens to Barrow, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the League Two outfit are in pole position to sign Gotts.

Leeds United

Negotiations are ongoing but all parties are confident of securing an agreement.

The potential move would see Gotts immediately link up again with Stevens, who joined Barrow from Leeds earlier today.

This site broke the news on 7th July that United were willing to listen to offers this summer for Gotts.

His availability caught the attention of clubs from across Britain ahead of the transfer deadline.

Scottish Premiership side Motherwell considered making a move for the promising midfielder.

Oldham were also keen on signing Gotts, having had fellow Leeds starlet Alfie McCalmont on loan last season.

However, Barrow are in advanced talks to seal a deal for the Harrogate-born talent.

The League Two outfit have already raided Elland Road for promising midfielder Stevens.

Barrow confirmed the 21-year-old's signing on Tuesday evening.

Gotts spent the majority of last season out on loan from Leeds.

He played 12 times for Lincoln City between October and January before sealing a move to Salford City.

The midfielder made 22 appearances for the north west outfit in League Two, with three goals and an assist to his name.

He made his Leeds debut in January 2020 and played three times for the Whites.
