Sources: Grealish move from Aston Villa to Man City edges closer after 'huge' development
Jack Grealish is edging closer to a blockbuster move from Aston Villa to Man City after agreeing personal terms, Football Insider understands.
City have been working on the mega-money transfer for months amid encouragement from Grealish’s camp he is keen to move.
A source with knowledge of the Villa talisman’s situation has told Football Insider he has been offered a “huge” contract by the Premier League champions and reached an agreement.
That is a significant hurdle to the transfer cleared but there is still some way to go before a total agreement is in place.
Grealish will not force the issue at Villa, the source explained, due to his relationship with his boyhood club.
What is not in doubt is the growing confidence among those involved that a British-record deal is now more likely than not to be agreed.

The Midlands giants have not totally given up hope of keeping Grealish and are offering him a double-your-money contract.
But City’s ambition and desire to make him a key player in Pep Guardiola’s side could hold sway.
Significantly, Grealish wants to play regularly in the Champions League as well as develop his game under Guardiola.
The Villa skipper signed a new five-year contract last September that runs until the summer of 2025.
In other news, Aston Villa are in advanced talks to sign playmaker out of contract next year.
