Sources: Grealish to undergo Man City medical after Aston Villa green light exit
Man City are lining up a medical for Jack Grealish next week as they finalise his transfer from Aston Villa, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The Premier League champions have offered a package worth £100m for the playmaker and it is set to be accepted by Villa.
A Villa source has told Football Insider that they accept Grealish is leaving and, barring a surprise collapse late on, he should complete a move to City when he returns from holiday next week.
The club will put the England international through extensive medical tests and finalise a British-record transfer.
Villa will not stand in the way of Grealish, who has his heart set on a move to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Football Insider revealed on 23rd July that the Villa captain had already agreed a “huge” contract with City.

Villa have tried to keep hold of their talisman with the offer of a double-your-money contract.
But that is set to prove insufficient and this site broke the news on Wednesday (28th July) that Grealish will join the Premier League champions when he returns from his post-Euros break.
Grealish is keen to leave Villa on good terms, the source explained, due to his relationship with his boyhood club.
But the player is ambitious and wants to play regularly in the Champions League as well as develop his game under Guardiola.
The Villa skipper signed a new five-year contract last September that runs until the summer of 2025.
