Sources: Ipswich Town race Forest and Derby for Brighton star Walton
Ipswich Town have joined Championship big guns Nottingham Forest and Derby County in the race for Brighton goalkeeper Christian Walton, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The Seagulls have made the goalkeeper, 25, available for a late transfer after slashing their asking price.
Now an Ipswich source has told Football Insider the club are readying a bid for Walton in the final days of the window.
There has also been interest this summer in Walton from Norwich, Forest, Swansea City, Bournemouth, Derby County and Luton Town.
The Seagulls had priced the goalkeeper out of a transfer earlier in the window.
On 24 August, a Brighton source told this site the club have relented on their price demands and have now lowered the fee.

Walton is experienced in the third tier of English football, making 42 appearances in the division.
Those outings came for Wigan, Southend and Bury during three of the seven loan spells he’s had at Brighton.
