Sources: Leeds offer £1.5m package for Birmingham City striker Miller
Leeds United are closing to signing Birmingham City starlet Amari Miller after offering a package worth £1.5million in total, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
This site broke the news on 15th June that United are in advanced negotiations to land the 18-year-old striker after stealing a march on Everton.
A Leeds source has told Football Insider that they have offered an initial £200,000 for Miller rising to £1.5m with add-ons.
There is confidence among all parties that the bid is enough for the transfer to be completed shortly.
Miller’s future at St Andrew’s has been up in the air as the club look to overhaul their youth set-up.
The club confirmed last month that the youngster was one of five second-year scholars to be offered professional terms.

But he would not leave for free as Leeds would need to pay a compensation fee to Birmingham for development costs.
The expected capture of Miller would be a major coup for Leeds given the rival interest.
Everton have also been closely monitoring the wonderkid’s situation and their talent spotters were impressed even before he was handed his senior debut in April.
Lee Bowyer fast-tracked the teenager into the City first team and he made five appearances in the final weeks of the campaign.
That included consecutive starts in wide attacking roles against Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers.
Miller can play down the middle as a central striker as well as out wide.
His main assets are said by those who have watched him closely to be his blistering pace, sharp movement and increasingly impressive finishing.
