Luton Town have agreed a deal to sign Canadian hot-shot Aribim Pepple from Cavalry FC after hijacking Forest Green Rovers' move, sources have told Football Insider.

The hitman, 19, has caught the eye of talent spotters across Europe after netting six goals in nine games in the Canadian Premier League this term.

Luton appear to have won the race for his capture, with the exciting teenager agreeing terms of a three-year deal at Kenilworth Road.

Forest Green had agreed a deal option with Pepple prior to his move to Cavalry FC in April.

Pepple first joined Cavalry from Calgary in 2019 and spent a year-and-a-half on their books.

The Kettering-born forward returned to Europe in March 2021, joining the youth system at Spanish outfit Getafe.

Pepple returned to Cavalry this year and has been in lethal form since the start of the Canadian Premier League season.

He netted six goals in the space of five games.

His performances convinced Forest Green to try and push through a deal after agreeing a deal option.

However, Luton Town have moved swiftly to beat the newly-promoted outfit to his capture.

His current contract with Cavalry expires at the end of November, a month after the end of the Canadian Premier League season.

Pepple could become the eighth signing at Kenilworth Road this summer.

The Hatters have already strengthened heavily in attack, bringing in the likes of Carlton Morris, Cauley Woodrow and Luke Freeman.
