Peterborough United have slapped a £4million price tag on Celtic and Rangers target Siriki Dembele, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The wide forward is set to quit London Road next summer after rejecting a new contract offer.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider Dembele, 25, has been targeted by multiple top clubs including Rangers, Celtic and Fulham.

Peterborough don’t want to lose him in January and have tried to scare off interested clubs with their £4m valuation.

But a major offer could force the hand of the Championship club.

Dembele will be a free agent at the end of the season, when the race for his signature is expected to be even more competitive.

The 25-year-old's younger brother Karamoko is on Celtic's books but Siriki has attracted interest from both of the Glasgow clubs.

A versatile attacker who can operate on either flank or down the middle, he has carried his League One form into the Championship this season.

His 16 league matches have yielded four goals and two assists, including strikes in recent weeks in wins against Hull City and QPR.

Dembele joined Peterborough from Grimsby Town in 2018 and has gone on to play a total of 138 times for the club, scoring 29 goals and supplying 30 assists.

Peterborough have an excellent track record of developing forwards and selling them for huge profits.

The likes of Ivan Toney, Britt Assombalonga, Jack Marriott and Dwight Gayle are among those who have helped earn the third-tier club more than £40million of transfer fees in recent years.
