In his first full season with the club, Sporar was in sensational form.
His incredible haul of 29 goals in 30 league games handed his side the title.
He continued this form into the 2019-20 season, scoring 12 goals in 11 league games.
It was this form that earned him a move to Sporting in January 2020.
11 goals in 38 competitive outings have followed as Sporar struggled to hold down a starting position.
His form at Braga won’t have earned him a recall to Sporting’s first team, opening the door for Boro to bring him to England.
Neil Warnock’s side have started the season well.
A 1-1 draw with Fulham on the opening day was followed up by a 2-1 win over Bristol City at the weekend.
The veteran boss will look for Sporar to recover the form he found in Slovakia as Boro look to get promoted.
Middlesbrough are next in Championship action against QPR on Wednesday.
