Sources: MK Dons agree to sign Ipswich star Bishop as Portsmouth beaten in race
MK Dons have agreed to sign Ipswich Town midfielder Teddy Bishop, Football Insider can reveal.
The 25-year-old has been granted permission by the League One big hitters to discuss terms with their third-tier rivals and complete a move.
An MK Dons source has told Football Insider that Bishop is poised to join on a permanent transfer.
He has also attracted interest from Portsmouth and Lincoln City this summer.
Bishop is heading into the final year of his contract after initially joining Ipswich as a youth player in 2004.
He has only ever played for the Tractor Boys and has made 132 appearances for the side in total.

He was also named as the club’s young player of the year after the 2014-15 season.
Last season he made 38 appearances for the club, scoring four goals and picking up five assists.
It is unlikely Bishop will be the last player out of the door at Ipswich as Paul Cook continues his overhaul.
On Tuesday (13th July) Football Insider revealed Fylnn Downes is being tracked by Bristol City, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest and Stoke City.
Bishop’s fellow midfielder Andre Dozzell has already departed for QPR this summer.
On Wednesday (14th July) The Portsmouth News claimed Bishop is training with Ipswich’s Under 23s while his future is sorted.
MK Dons finished four points and four places behind Ipswich in League One last season.
Both games between the sides finished in draws with Bishop starting both clashes against his potential new side.
