Sources: 'Phenomenal' Liverpool player ruled out of Watford clash as Kelleher set to start amid multiple changes
Caoimhin Kelleher is set to get the nod to start in goal for Liverpool against Watford on Saturday in place of the unavailable Alisson, Football Insider understands.
Jurgen Klopp will be forced into making at least two changes to the side that drew 2-2 against Man City before the international break due to the Brazil clash taking place against Uruguay in the early hours of Friday UK time.
Alisson and Fabinho are expected to miss the Saturday lunchtime kick-off against Watford at Vicarage Road, with a Liverpool source telling Football Insider that Kelleher is primed for his third Premier League appearance.
The Republic of Ireland international, 22, has understudied the long-established number one this term after leapfrogging Adrian as the preferred second choice in the pecking order.
Kelleher was in goal for the EFL Cup win at Norwich City last month and has been on the bench for all nine of Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League matches this season.
Klopp is set to make at least three changes to the side that drew against City at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been declared fit to return after missing the last two matches with a groin strain.
He is expected to replace James Milner in the starting XI in addition to the replacements for first choice pair Alisson and Fabinho.
Kelleher performed well when deputising for Alisson last season and is far more comfortable with the ball at his feet than error-prone Adrian.
But the Brazilian, hailed as phenomenal by Manuel Neuer earlier this year, is widely regarded as one of the world’s outstanding goalkeepers.
