Sources: Rangers lay groundwork to sign 'next Sadio Mane' - he could replace £6m-valued star
Rangers are laying the groundwork to potentially sign Santiago Moreno – ‘the next Sadio Mane’ – amid Ianis Hagi exit fears, Football Insider understands.
The Glasgow giants are in the market for a right-sided forward capable of being a threat at Champions League level.
Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that the club are in the hunt for Colombian Moreno, 21, after setting their sights on the south American market going into the summer window.
This site revealed on 17th May that Rangers and Leeds are keen on the £5million-valued wide forward ahead of the summer window.
The America de Cali wide forward is blisteringly quick and his playing style has been compared to Liverpool superstar Mane.
Rangers’ interest in Moreno comes at a time when there is doubt over the future of Hagi.

Romanian outlet Sport.ro claims Bundesliga second-tier side VfL Bochum have held talks over a potential deal, while he has also been linked with Lazio and Sevilla by his famous father Gheorge (Glasgow Evening Times).
Football Insider has learned that Rangers value Hagi at double the initial £3million spend to sign him from Belgian club Genk last summer.
Interested clubs would need to clear some red-tape hurdles to recruit Moreno but, encouragingly, he would be granted Governing Body Endorsement (“GBE”) as he’s played in the Copa Libertadores this season.
It is the highest level of competition in south American club football and demonstrative of the pedigree and promise of Moreno.
He has been a regular scorer and creator this season, with his 22 appearances in all competitions yielding five goals and four assists.
