Tottenham's scouts have been blown away by Hull City rising star Jarrod Bowen ahead of a possible summer swoop as he evokes comparisons with Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah, Football Insider understands.

The English 22-year-old is attracting interest from multiple Premier League clubs after lighting up the Championship with his performances for Nigel Adkins' side.

Spurs were linked with Bowen in the January window and have continued to keep close tabs on the youngster, who has scored 16 league goals in 22 matches since early December.

"His playing style is just like [Mohamed] Salah", a Spurs recruitment source told Football Insider. "He is a left-footed winger who plays on the right flank and loves cutting inside and running at defenders.

"Like Salah, he's quite small but really strong and difficult to get off the ball. You can't push him around. He will run all day, he tracks back, works hard and comes alive with the ball at his feet.

"He is becoming really clinical in front of goal and has been scoring for fun, even though Championship clubs are doubling up on him and trying to stop him cutting on to his left foot.

"He has learned his trade in the Championship and is ready to step up to the Premier League. Scouts are watching him closely and lots of clubs are interested."

Bowen broke a 60-year record by scoring in eight consecutive Hull home games this year and appears ready to follow Harry Maguire and Andrew Robertson in leaving the club for an elite Premier League outfit.

The former Hereford player has now made 94 Hull appearances, scoring 35 goals and supplying eight assists.

Adkins' side are ninth in the Championship after three consecutive wins, but are still five points adrift of the final play-off spot with five matches of the campaign remaining.
