Sources: Tottenham set to sell Aurier as medical scheduled
Tottenham expect to sell Serge Aurier by tomorrow’s transfer deadline after agreeing a deal to sign Emerson Royal, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
This site revealed earlier today (29 August) Spurs have agreed a £25.7million deal with Barcelona for the right-back and a medical has been scheduled.
A Spurs source has told Football Insider that has opened the door for them to offload Aurier before Tuesday’s cut-off.
Football Insider revealed back in May that Aurier was close to joining Paris Saint-Germain.
However, that deal was not finalised after PSG turned their attention to Achraf Hakimi.
He has just one year left to run on his Spurs contract and could leave for free next summer.

Spurs have already got rid of fringe stars Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela and Toby Alderweireld this summer.
Aurier has not featured this season under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo this season.
Academy graduate Japhet Tanganga has started all three of the club’s Premier League games at right-back.
Nuno’s former Wolves favourite Matt Doherty has been given the nod in the Europa Conference League.
Aurier shared the role with Doherty last season but neither nailed down a regular starting spot.
The Frenchman, 28, played 27 times across all competitions, including 19 Premier League starts, last term.
He has featured in 110 games across all competitions in his four years in north London.
Nuno has moved in the transfer market to add a more reliable right-back in Royal.
The 22-year-old moved to the Spanish giants from Atletico Mineiro in 2019 but has spent the last three seasons on loan at Real Betis.
The Brazil international made three appearances in La Liga this season.
