Kieran Trippier is set to hold crunch talks with Mauricio Pochettino that will determine whether he stays at Tottenham, Football Insider understands.

The right-back has been the subject of interest from Serie A big hitters Juventus and Napoli this summer as well as Manchester United.

A source with knowledge of Trippier's situation has told Football Insider that Napoli have cooled their interest, while United are on the verge of signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £55million.

Juventus remain keen on Trippier, despite some suggestions to the contrary, and will soon be in need of a senior right-back as they are in talks to sell Joao Cancelo, their Portugal right-back, to Manchester City.

The Italian giants' move for the England international is dependent upon them selling Cancelo, a deal that could go through in the next fortnight, and that would then push them to submit a major bid for the Spurs right-back.

The reality is that Tottenham would sell the defender for far less, closer to £35million, if add-ons are included in any deal.

Trippier is eager to know where he stands with Pochettino and what his future would be at Tottenham should he reject a move to Juventus or another English club.

He has made 113 appearances for Tottenham since signing from Burnley in the summer of 2015 for around £5million and has been the first choice right-back since Kyle Walker joined Manchester City two years ago.

In other Spurs news, it can be REVEALED that the club have pulled out of the race to sign a brilliant midfielder.
