Sources: Tottenham to announce two senior star exits

Tottenham are set to announce the departures of Jan Vertonghen and Michel Vorm at the end of the season.

The long-serving duo will bid farewell after accumulating 14 years of service at Spurs between them.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that the club are likely to announce the pair’s exits when the campaign comes to an end.

Centre-back Vertonghen, 33, and goalkeeper Vorm, 36, both signed short-term extensions to remain at the club beyond the 30 June expiry of their original deals.

But new deals have not been agreed with the long-standing duo.

Jose Mourinho’s side are in action for the final time this season when they travel to Crystal Palace for Sunday’s Premier League clash.

They must win both matches to guarantee a place in next term’s Europa League.

Vertonghen has been a mainstay of the Tottenham side that was transformed into Champions League regulars during Mauricio Pochettino’s reign.

He has started only one of Spurs’ eight matches since the restart but will look to add to his 315 appearances for the club before bidding farewell to the club where he has been a huge favourite of supporters.

Vorm has been the back-up goalkeeper to Hugo Lloris over the last six years and has only played 48 times for the first team.
