'Absolute class act player' – Tottenham fans react as attacker arrives from mid-table side
Winger Marcus Edwards has returned to Tottenham after a dismal loan spell at Norwich, where he made just one appearance for the Championship side.
Edwards was criticised by manager Daniel Farke in January for his attitude, who said he needed to mature to realise his talent.
Norwich won’t get to see that though after his loan deal was terminated for “personal reasons” – news which was announced on the official Norwich Twitter page after their 1-1 draw with struggling Sunderland.
The boss also confirms Marcus Edwards has returned to Tottenham for personal reasons for the remainder of the season. #ncfc

Most Tottenham fans seem wary of his return, with talk of attitude problems preceding him.
Another said that he’s obviously got talent but needs to work hard and have a good manager to bring his talent through – a nudge towards Mauricio Pochettino perhaps?
Another fan said that he thought Edwards’ career at Spurs was over when he went out on loan as Pochettino keeps the players he likes to learn under him.

Either way it will be interesting to see if he can stake a claim at Tottenham next season, or whether Pochettino ships him out in the summer.
We’d imagine his price tag will have gone down after his latest stint.
Here are the best reactions to Edwards heading back to Tottenham:
We were not worried about the financial aspect of the deal and as much was confirmed by your manager upon signing him. It was all about him getting first team minutes. Very disappointed how this has worked out and cant see Spurs sending players to Norwich for a while.

Because you didn't give him a chance?

Wouldn't surprise me tbh. Seems to be slowly turning into another Ravel Morrison

Came on for 15 mins in a league cup game last season and thats not long I know but looked very good. Not been anywhere near the first team since. Thought a loan to the championship would do him good but obviously not

What's he done in his career to have that much of an attitude?? Scrap the brat. Sick of it now.

Absolute class act player who is rated as one of the best young English talents ,but clearly has huge /effort /attitude issues
Spurs fan btw ,he’s destined to be one of those enigmas that messed it all up— shaun lewis (@shaunlewis17) April 10, 2018
Really poor attitude by all accounts, Poch will be waving him goodbye in the summer not into those type of lads

Hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard. That's that for Edwards.

Our country has many talented young players with all the attributes to make a potential top class player !
1st, That talent needs be recognised☝????
2nd, Player needs good work ethic, will to learn, right attitude & aptitude☝????
3rd, A good coach to bring best out of player ☝????— Gary Grant (@Gazza_Grant) April 11, 2018
What a shame. Clearly a massive talent but there’s other things going on. Hopefully he can get the head down and refocus.

In my eyes his Spurs career was over the moment he moved to Norwich. That’s not a comment on Norwich. Just under Poch no player has been sent out on loan, come back and been a success/got into the 1st team.
