Stan Collymore humorously suggests Tottenham ace will complete mega-money move to Man City

By Harvey Byrne

Stan Collymore has humorously suggested that young Tottenham ace Kyle Walker-Peters will complete a mega-money deal to Manchester City next summer.

The 20-year-old right-back was handed his first team debut by Mauricio Pochettino in Sunday’s season opening 2-0 victory over Newcastle with Kyle Walker having already left for City, while Kieran Trippier sat out injured.

The youngster impressed in his league bow and he was awarded the Sky Sports man of the match after helping his side keep a clean sheet alongside the win.

Onlookers took note of his display, including outspoken pundit Collymore, who told on his personal Twitter account that Manchester City sign him for a huge £60million next summer, which will then see him replaced by “Kyle Walker-Peters-Smith” in the Tottenham team.

Collymore was of course referencing the likeliness in Walker-Peters’ name with former star Walker in his suggestion.

However, Tottenham and their fan base will be keen to see their club keep hold of such a talent if Sunday’s display is a sign of what he has to offer.

The youngster has had a fine summer, helping the England Under-20s to a World Cup victory to go alongside his Spurs debut and he will be hoping to start in next Sunday’s Wembley clash against Chelsea.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs fans reacted on Twitter to Moussa Sissoko’s display against Newcastle.
