Stan Collymore: Liverpool should make this £60million transfer and buy a player in this position
By Amir Mir
Stan Collymore believes Liverpool should sell Philippe Coutinho for £60million and then buy a “top class striker”.
Former Reds forward Collymore has been critical of the Brazilian playmaker in the past who is once again beginning to show inconsistencies in his game.
The 24-year-old has scored just one goal and failed to provide an assist since he returned to action in early January.
Over the course of the season, Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge have been the players used by Jurgen Klopp up front.
However, Collymore believes a new face needs to be added in the final third as he posted this message on his personal Twitter account.

Coutinho will be preparing for an important Merseyside derby against Everton on Saturday afternoon at Anfield.
During the reverse fixture in December, Sadio Mane’s injury time winner helped the Reds inflict a first defeat on home soil for the season on their neighbours.
Furthermore, it helped them win the bragging rights for that time as they will once again be looking to win the points for the fans.
Both teams have a chance of securing a Champions League place this term, with Everton’s hopes less likely than their counterparts.
Ronald Koeman’s side are seventh in the table on 50 points from their 29 matches, six points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
