AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca is heading to Marseille for £13million after almost moving to West Ham last summer for £26million, according to a Sky journalist.
Sky Sports transfer reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed on his personal Twitter account on Sunday that the 30-year-old’s value has plummeted by 50 per cent in just one-year.

Last summer saw the Hammers linked with a number of forwards, much like this one with Bacca, Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi’s names all mentioned.
However, the Hammers ended up with Ashley Fletcher, Andre Ayew and loan flops Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza all joining.
Now, Bacca could have fallen alongside the aforementioned names and flopped alongside the likes of Zaza and Calleri had he joined given his decrease in value.
After the links with West Ham Bacca managed 13 Serie A goals in 32 league outings for AC Milan and he still has three years remaining on his contract for now.
Football Insider verdict:
AC Milan have gone under mass change this summer and they have added exciting young Portuguese forward Andre Silva to their squad. Bacca’s valuation could now just be a result of the addition of Silva, as Bacca still managed a good return for Milan given his pitch time. There is however no saying that the Colombian could have boasted a similar record in England given the difference in pace between the Italian and English game. Therefore, despite waiting a year the Hammers are now in a better postion as it looks like proven Premier League goalscorer in Javier Hernandez is now joining, rather than splashing out a record £26million Bacca, who could have ended up being an expensive flop.
