Sunderland could demand ‘silly money’ for Wilson Isidor in bid to deter Leeds move
Sunderland could warn off Leeds United by demanding a sizeable fee for Wilson Isidor this summer as they eye a move for his services.
Leeds have added Isidor to their list of transfer targets ahead of the upcoming transfer window as Daniel Farke aims to bolster his attacking depth.
The Sunderland striker started this season strongly but has recently struggled for regular minutes ahead of making his World Cup bow with Haiti next month.
Leeds could look to sign him this summer, but as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Sunderland could demand a big fee for his services to discourage them from being interested.
Leeds’ transfer plans are set to be accelerated in the coming weeks after their Premier League safety was confirmed with West Ham’s defeat to Arsenal.

Isidor is stuck behind Brian Brobbey in Regis Le Bris’ striker pecking order as it stands and has scored just once in his last 24 appearances for Sunderland.
Despite his recent struggles, it is unclear whether the Black Cats will be open to letting him go before next season as Leeds eye a move.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “He’s under contract until 2028, and as long as Sunderland don’t ask for silly money, I think there’ll be a number of clubs who would be interested in Isidor.
“Leeds obviously will be looking to add to their attacking options in the summer as well, but yeah I’m sure Isidor is on the list but not necessarily high up on it.”
Ayase Ueda is a top target for Leeds as striker signings planned
It is clear that Leeds will be eyeing at least one centre-forward signing this summer, with more goals on the agenda, having drawn the second-most amount of games in the Premier League this season.
Sources have told Football Insider that Feyenoord striker Ueda is a key target for the Whites as he shines in the Eredivisie.
The Japan international has struck 26 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions for the Dutch giants so far this term and is the runaway top scorer in the top flight ahead of Mika Godts and Troy Parrott.
Leeds are set to face fierce competition for his services, with Everton, Tottenham and Brighton each also linked with a move in recent weeks.
