Man City plan to accept Jack Grealish offer as Sunderland make ‘surprise move’
Man City remain open to letting Jack Grealish leave before the end of the transfer window despite his recent game time under Enzo Maresca, sources have told Football Insider.
Grealish has returned to Man City to figure in Maresca's plans at the start of the new campaign.
He featured for the whole second half of their Community Shield loss to Arsenal, then made a late cameo as City clawed back a result against Bournemouth last weekend.
Several clubs remain keen on signing him in the coming days, with Sunderland making a surprise late move ahead of his former loan side Everton.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, City will not stand in Grealish's way if a club offers the right terms and he wants to make the move away.
The 30-year-old is keen to play regularly at the top level and may not have a long-term guarantee of minutes at City despite recent game time.

Grealish has been tracked by Everton throughout the summer after a successful loan stint on Merseyside last season.
Sunderland have joined the race for his services, and either club will be able to complete a deal before the deadline if their offer meets City's demands.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Sunderland have obviously made a surprise move for Grealish, which I think lots of people didn't see coming. He's a player who's future still remains pretty open.
"City won't stand in the way of either a loan or a permanent transfer away before the transfer window closes. Sunderland are making an ambitious move to try and convince Grealish to make the move to Stadium of Light.
"Grealish has featured for City in their first two competitive games of the season, but I still think if the right offer comes in, that City will be willing to let him move on as well."
Everton could accept cash plus player deal as Man City target Iliman Ndiaye
Everton may hold the upper hand in negotiations for Grealish due to City's interest in star winger Ndiaye.
The Senegalese international has been a long-term target for the Citizens and remains on their radar ahead of the final days of the summer window.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Everton could accept an offer for Ndiaye from City that includes a £60million fee and Grealish moving back to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Ndiaye is keen to remain in the Premier League if he does leave the Toffees, having already turned down a move to the Saudi Pro League.
