Tottenham are willing to meet the £21.5m release clause for 21-year-old Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick, according to a report.
Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato reports that Tottenham are ready to launch a summer move for the player, although it is understood Sampdoria are hoping to hold onto him for at least another season.
Schick’s agent Pavel Paska is set to meet club president Massimo Ferrero to discuss the striker’s future in light of interest from Tottenham, but also from north London rivals Arsenal.
Arsenal are also interested in the three-time Czech international according to the report, as well as Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan.

Schick has bagged 11 goals and provided three assists in his 29 league and cup appearances for Sampdoria this term.
Football Insider verdict
Schick will not be the most well-known of Tottenham’s summer targets – but he would still be an astute signing. The 21-year-old is 6″2, strong and fast so he would fit into Spurs’ physically imposing side. He can also provide ample support for Harry Kane as either a back-up striker or a number 10. But his real use may come as a back up striker – Tottenham will look to challenge in all formats next term and they will need someone better equipped than Vincent Janssen to share Kane’s load. Schick could be the man to do just that.
