James Tavernier delivered an honest verdict on rangers 5-3 win against Hamilton on Sunday, saying, "We do make it hard for ourselves sometimes".

Rangers went behind to an early Hamilton goal but came back strongly and were winning 5-2 when a late Accies penalty gave the scoreline a bit more respectability for them.

It was a good Sunday for Rangers, with rivals Celtic only managing a 0-0 draw with St Johnstone. The win boosts Rangers up to second in the Premiership, nine points behind Celtic, which leaves a tilt at the title unlikely but not impossible. Tavernier will know his side will have to be tighter at the back if they want any chance of closing the gap. However, in a tweet on Sunday evening he said that he was "proud of the lads today" and made special mention of hat-trick hero Josh Windass. Windass scored his second career hat-trick and Tavernier said he was "buzzing for my fellow Yorkshire man". Tavernier posted his verdict on the match on his personal Twitter page on Sunday evening.

Rangers play Hearts in the Premiership in their next game, on Saturday at 3pm. In other Rangers news,
