Sam Allardyce could shred any suggestion that he plays boring football by using his players to the full against Newcastle United on Wednesday

The Everton boss usually sets his team up in a 4-4-2 formation, but Allardyce must think about changing this for a game against a club that are really struggling to stop their slump in the Premier League.

Newcastle United haven’t won any of their last seven games, conceding 17 goals in the process.

The Magpies have dropped to 16th in the table, two points off the relegation zone.

Everton could heap misery on Rafa Benitez side by exposing Newcastle United’s weak defence, and sending them into the bottom three.

The Toffees played a defensive style of football when they earned a 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Sunday, but have shown they’re capable of scoring goals.

Everton put four past West Ham in David Unsworth’s last game in charge, with Wayne Rooney grabbing a hat-trick.

The Toffees go into Wednesday’s game having not suffered a league defeat under Allardyce.
