Leeds United couldn't have gone into the international break on a worse note.

Back-to-back defeats at the hands of Cardiff and Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday have seen them fall away from their perch at the top of the Championship standings.

Sunday's 3-0 loss at Hillsborough saw fans start to question Thomas Christiansen's team selection for the first time and now the Danish manager has two weeks before the game against Reading to choose what to do next with his side.

There were many poor performances against the Owls across the field, but some will be sweating more than others over whether they will find themselves axed from the first-team when the Royals travel to Elland Road later this month.

Felix Wiedwald

Wiedwald arrived at Leeds from Werder Bremen in the summer and instantly replaced Rob Green as the No 1 choice goalkeeper at Elland Road, but his performances of late haven't given many cause for optimism.

The German shot-stopper, 27, is not commanding his box enough and without someone like Liam Cooper or Pontus Jansson in the backline, the Whites concede a lot of goals.

Defenders should never solely rely on their goalkeeper and goalkeepers should never solely rely on their defence, and that is what is happening at Leeds at the minute.

Andy Lonergan isn't a bad back-up option to Wiedwald and he may be worth giving a shot in the first-team in the coming fixtures.

Gaetano Berardi

Berardi is not a left-back. He may be the best option that Christiansen has there at the moment, but the fact that he is played out of position really isn't doing him any favours.

The one-time Switzerland international is a warrior and someone who you can count on to put his body on the line in your hour of need - but that doesn't make him the best possible option at left-back.

Vurnon Anita has played there out of position this season while Christiansen doesn't seem too keen on Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

The Manchester United loanee is a natural in that role though and he should be called upon in the league in the future.

When the January transfer window opens up a left-back should be Christiansen's top priority.

Kemar Roofe

This may be a strange one given Roofe has been in such good goalscoring form this season.

However the former West Brom attacker doesn't seem to be playing as well on the wings as he has been up front, and that is why he may be sweating over being dropped against Reading later this month.

Leeds have a lot of options on the wings and alternating between them appears to have done wonders so far this term.

However Roofe is the kind of player who will be unstoppable for two or three games and then go missing for the next 10.

Christiansen can't afford passengers in his attack and players like Hadi Sacko and Stuart Dallas could soon come in for Roofe's first-team spot.
