Harry Kane’s hat trick saw Tottenham continue their perfect start in the Champions League with victory over Apoel Nicosia on Tuesday.

The English striker’s ‘perfect’ treble, scored with his left foot, his right foot and a header, means that they are level on points with Real Madrid in group H, and six points clear of Borussia Dortmund and Apoel.

However, the convincing scoreline masks an unconvincing performance from Mauricio Pochettino’s men, with a number of sub par performances, particularly in the first half, from his players.

They allowed the Cypriot side too many chances to test goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, and were unlucky not to take the lead when a shot cannoned off the crossbar after some poor defending from Spurs.

The Lilywhites return to action on Saturday against Huddersfield in the Premier League, but there are some names that should not remain in the starting XI.

Here, Football Insider names three players who need to be axed for the clash against the Terriers, including one man who put in one of his best performances in a Spurs shirt against the Cypriot side.
