Toby Alderweireld sends Twitter message to Tottenham fans after win v Arsenal

Tottenham’s centre-back star Toby Alderweireld hailed the “brilliant” fans after his side’s win against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
The 28-year-old Belgium international lined up for his side as they prepared to host their fierce rivals at White Hart Lane for the last ever encounter between the two teams.
It was clear from before the match that both sides needed to pick up all three points with Spurs looking to win the league, while the Gunners were aiming to make their way back into the Champions League spots.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s team ended up achieving a routine victory with two second half goals coming from Dele Alli and Harry Kane in a dominant display.
Many of the Spurs stars have since taken to Twitter to air their delight and Alderweireld shared his via his own personal account, while also paying special attention to the club’s supporters.

The match on Saturday marked Alderweireld’s 26th league appearance of the campaign.
He has proven to be a consistent star under Pochettino and his partnership with Belgian compatriot Jan Vertonghen has helped Tottenham boast the best defensive record in the Premier League with just 22 goals conceded.
