Young Everton star Tom Davies posted a message on Twitter thanking the fans after his sides’ 4-2 win over Leicester.

Davies netted his second Everton goal this afternoon, opening the scoring for the Toffees after just 30 seconds.

However the initial lead did not last long as Islam Slimani and Marc Albrighton both scored to hand Leicester the lead after 10 minutes.

Romelu Lukaku and Phil Jagielka were on hand to head home and retake the lead for Everton, with the score at 3-2 to the home side at half time.

Lukaku then doubled his tally, and wrapped up the three points for his side when he rifled home in the second half.

The win means Everton stay in seventh and stay in touch with their rivals.

They are now level on points with Arsenal, although the Gunners play tomorrow night against Crystal Palace, and are just three points behind Manchester United, who won 3-0 at Sunderland today.

The 18-year-old midfielder posted on Twitter after the match to thank the fans for their support.

“Great game today, well done lads,” Davies wrote on his personal Twitter account.

“Once again thank you for the brilliant support.”
