Darren Bent believes that Kamil Grosicki will prove to be a fantastic signing for West Brom after his move from Hull City last month.

The former Aston Villa and Derby City striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, admits he has seen the 31-year-old tear teams he has been a part of “to pieces.”

Grosicki swapped Hull for the Hawthorns last month, having scored seven goals and chipped in with four assists for the Tigers this season.

Suggesting that the winger will give the Baggies an advantage in the hunt for promotion, Bent admits he has been a little surprised the Poland international has not pushed on in his career.

Bent told Football Insider: “I think the signing of Grosicki tips them over the edge.

“I think that was a very good signing. I think at times he’s another one that has flattered to deceive, I don’t get it, you’re a top player.

“I’ve seen him play in teams in the Championship where he’s torn us to pieces but for whatever reason he never went on to really go and establish himself.

“I think this will be the time, I think that’s a great signing.”

Grosicki, who arrived in England with Hull from Stade Rennais back in 2017, has 107 Championship appearances, 25 goals and 23 assists under his belt.

The 73-cap international made his West Brom debut from the bench against Millwall, setting up Dara O’Shea for the second goal in their 2-0 win, but he is yet to start for Slaven Bilic.

In other West Brom news, Bent has been buzzing over a mainstay he thinks gives the Baggies a significant edge.
