Tottenham and Newcastle fans react to Moussa Sissoko Twitter post ahead of Swansea clash

By Amir Mir

Moussa Sissoko received some stick from Tottenham and Newcastle fans as he posted a Twitter message ahead of the clash against Swansea on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old will be looking to play his part as Spurs look to close the seven-point gap on Premier League leaders Chelsea in the table.

France international Sissoko, who moved to White Hart Lane from Newcastle last summer, came on as a second-half substitute during the 2-0 win against Burnley at the weekend.

The £30million summer signing has found life difficult since swapping the north east for north London, failing to score a goal during 27 appearances in all competitions.

As he geared up for the important showdown against the relegations strugglers some fans suggested that he shouldn’t play the match.

One Tottenham supporter stated that he isn’t very good at football, while another Newcastle fan thanked Spurs for paying £30million for his services.

During his time at the club, Sissoko has provided just four assists during 27 Premier League, Champions League, EFL Cup and Europa League games.

However, he has stated just ten of those encounters because he has struggled to find form and consistency throughout the campaign.

Despite this, there were a fair few who were still backing the player to produce the goods and prove his doubters wrong.

Overall, the versatile attacker received stick from both Tottenham fans and those of his previous club.
