Tottenham backed to finalise Alfie Devine deal as talks get underway - expert
Alan Hutton is certain a loan move for Tottenham youngster Alfie Devine is the right decision.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs right-back insisted it will have to be the “right club” for Devine to get the most out of the move.
On Saturday (12 November) sources told this site that the 18-year-old is already in talks to agree a January loan move.
Antonio Conte’s side have given the go-ahead for the midfielder to join an EFL club in the winter window and are in discussions with multiple clubs.
Devine became the youngest player in Spurs’ history when he made his first-team debut in January last year at 16 years and 163 days.
When asked if a loan move is the right decision for the youngster at the moment, Hutton told Football Insider: “Definitely.

“Over the last season he has come in to the first team under previous managers. I think it is a good opportunity for him to go out and get game time at a level that is going to help him improve for the future.“
The midfielder has made 12 appearances for Tottenham’s under-21 team this season.
In those outings he has scored three goals and provided one assist.
