Tottenham have moved to seal their latest rising-star deal by offering a scholarship to goalkeeper Elliot Krasniqi, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The goalkeeper, 15, has been a substitute for the club's Under-18s this season as a recognition of his immense potential.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider the club are now working on tying Krasniqi to a scholarship deal that would see him part of next year's Academy intake.

The youngster is one of three rising stars who have already been offered early scholarships by the London giants.

Spurs typically offer scholarships around February or March, with the deals then starting on 1 June.

But Tottenham are keen to tie down Krasniqi, Amo-Ameyaw and Chaplin straight away to avoid them being snapped up by rival teams.

There is huge competition among elite clubs for the top young British talent, with age-group matches attended not just by talent spotters from the top Premier League clubs but also those from the Bundesliga and another major leagues.

Tottenham have a fine record of nurturing top young talent, with international stars Harry Kane and Harry Winks the star graduates of their youth system.

More recently, the club are hoping the trio can follow in the footsteps of forward sensation Dane Scarlett.

He only turned 17 in March but has already made five first-team appearances.
