Tottenham expected 4-2-3-1 v Watford: 27-year-old axed
By Harvey Byrne
Tottenham are expected to make one change for their Premier League clash with Watford at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side battled to a 3-1 win against Swansea on Wednesday evening in a quick turn of fixtures.
The Argentine is likely to keep his side similar to the one that picked up all three points at the Liberty Stadium due to injuries alongside the team looking to keep up with league leaders Chelsea.
But, expensive summer flop Moussa Sissoko is likely to be axed from the line-up after failing to impress in midweek alongside struggling in a 45 minute substitute appearance against Burnley last weekend.
This is then expected to result in fellow summer signing Vincent Janssen coming in to the forward role with Son Heung-min falling into a wide position and taking the 27-year-old Frenchman’s place in the team.

It is likely Eric Dier will stay in the midfield alongside Mousa Dembele with Victor Wanyama failing to make the match squad against Swansea despite reports stating he may feature after an injury last weekend.
The duo will be looking to protect an impressive back four, consisting of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Walker alongside Ben Davies, who is still filling in for star Danny Rose.
The likely attacking trio of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son will be expected to cause the Watford back line a number of problems, while looking to feed Janssen, who is still aiming to fully convince fans following his move from AZ Alkmaar.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs fans have urged Pochettino to give this summer signing more playing time.
