Tottenham expert issues 'massive' Clement Lenglet claim amid new injury reveal
Alan Hutton has backed Clement Lenglet to handle the pressure of a derby against Arsenal if injured Tottenham star Ben Davies is unable to participate.
The former Scotland and Tottenham defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 27-year-old’s “massive experience” will help him through the occasion.
According to football.london (17 September), Davies is facing a “short period” on the sidelines with a hairline fracture of the bone just under the knee.
The Wales international, who has started five Premier League games this term, has withdrawn from Rob Page’s squad just two months out from the World Cup.
Lenglet arrived from Barcelona on a season-long loan during the summer window and has made three starts for Antonio Conte’s side so far in the new campaign.
Hutton insisted Conte won’t have to change his system to fit the left-footed star into his starting lineup against Arsenal next month (1 October).

He told Football Insider: “We all thought when Lenglet came in that he would be the guaranteed starter.
“It hasn’t quite happened for him and Ben Davies took up the challenge.
“With Davies being out, that’s what Lenglet is there for – to come in and compete. That’s why you have a strong squad.
“It’s a like-for-like change, Conte won’t have to shift anything about. Lenglet is a player with massive experience, he’s played at big clubs.
“He can handle that pressure.”
Lenglet racked up 159 appearances in the Spanish top flight during spells with Sevilla and Barcelona.
He has also claimed 15 France caps.
