Tottenham expert issues 'unbelievable' Weston McKennie transfer claim - 'Paratici loves him'
Tottenham should not sign Weston McKennie in January even though Fabio Paratici “loves him”.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On Tuesday (15 November) Tutto Mercato Web reported McKennie could be sold in January with Tottenham one of the clubs interested in signing him.
The 24-year-old has started nine of Juventus’ 15 league games this season as Paul Pogba remains sidelined through injury.
Wenham insists Spurs must spend money elsewhere before signing another central midfielder.
“I don’t know where he would play,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“We brought in Bissouma during the summer and he has started playing like the player we all thought he was in the last few weeks.
“Let’s work with what we already have first. I get that Paratici loves Weston McKennie and who am I to go against his recommendation?
“His signings from Juventus have been unbelievable. I just feel like we should be spending any available money on improving our wing-backs.
“That’s what we should be doing if there is money to spend in January because that is where our problems are.
“We are well stocked in midfield as it is.”
Tottenham signed Rodrigo Betancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus in the last January window.
Both players have gone on to become key players under Antonio Conte.
