Tottenham expert shares 'huge' Dejan Kulusevski claim after injury update

Tottenham will go to “another level” when Dejan Kulkusevski finally returns from injury.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Kulusevski, 22, has only made nine appearances this season due to a thigh injury, scoring one Premier League goal and providing three assists in those outings.

On 1 October, Football Insider revealed Tottenham will sign Kulusevski permanently regardless of whether he triggers the necessary clauses in his contract.

Wenham is growing concerned over the winger’s continued absence.

“It was only meant to be a few weeks and now it feels like we haven’t seen him all season,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I was very confident before the season started and said he would score 15 goals. I don’t see that happening now, unfortunately.

“All the updates we are getting are that he is close or just a few more games away from being fit but at this point I’m just expecting to see him back for the second half of the season.

“With Richarlison out as well it has left us a bit thin but you know how big a fan I am of Lucas Moura. I’m just annoyed we haven’t been able to watch Kulusevski on a more regular basis.

“He is such an important player for us and whatever is keeping him out is clearly a significant problem. We will go to another level when he is back, make no mistake about it, he’s huge for us.”

Kulusevski has made 29 total appearances for Spurs after joining the club on loan in January.

Tottenham are next in action against Liverpool on Sunday (6 November).
