'Horrendous', 'Leave my club' - Tottenham fans rage over starter's performance v West Ham
By Russell Edge
Tottenham fans have taken to social media to rage over the performance of back up goalkeeper Michel Vorm in their League Cup defeat to West Ham on Wednesday.
The Dutch shot stopper is a regular in Mauricio Pochettino’s side when competing in the cups, taking the place of Hugo Lloris is Spurs’ first choice between the sticks.
Vorm has been credited for his consistent performances by the Tottenham manager in recent times, but he failed to demonstrate the sort of display expected against the Hammers.
He spilled a shot into the path of Andre Ayew for the visitors’ first goal ten minutes after the break, providing a lifeline after Spurs had dominated the first half, and saw Slaven Bilic’s side net past him two more times to secure a 3-2 victory.
Fans were less than impressed with what they saw and turned to Twitter to voice their anger.

Vorm wouldn't know what a clean sheet looked like if he was standing in the home section at Asda ffs! Shame really. Quite like him. #TOTWHU

The 34-year-old, who has 15 caps for the Dutch national side, joined Spurs from fellow Premier League side Swansea back in the summer of 201.
He has gone on to make 33 appearances across all competitions, acting primarily as a reserve goalkeeper for club captain Lloris.
In other Tottenham team news, this duo are a doubt for the club’s clash with Manchester United on Saturday.
