'I vote no', 'Don't do this to me' - Tottenham fans despair after latest reported transfer news
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be “ready” to sell Mousa Dembele this summer but it’s transfer news that hasn’t been welcomed by the Lilywhites faithful.
Spurs are reportedly said to be eyeing Barcelona’s Andre Gomes as well as Atalanta loanee Bryan Cristante as replacements for the Belgian.
The 30-year-old is out of contract with the North London club at the end of next season and with no new terms agreed to, and the transfer window only just around the corner, Daniel Levy might be forced to sell sooner rather than later.
Injuries earlier on in the season had looked to be taking their toll on the Belgian international and there were questions surrounding his fitness and ability to last an entire season.
However, those appear to be well and truly forgotten about now with Spurs fans, by and large, up in arms about the proposed transfer.
The 26 Premier League appearances Dembele has made this season have been integral to the side’s current fourth-place position.

In addition, the progression the club has made in the Champions League where he starred against Real Madrid and Juventus have led to calls to extend the player’s contract.
Here is what Spurs fans had to say on Twitter about the potential transfer:

Worthy replacement for Dembele has not been born yet. Only way to replace him is to allow us to play with 12 or 13 men. Only reason we would sell him is that he has Levy’s family hostage in his hotel basement by the gold coffin.
