Danny Rose played the full match as Tottenham were defeated 1-0 at Manchester United on Sunday afternoon – and fans on Twitter provided mixed views on his performance.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half when he rifled his shot past Hugo Lloris following a through ball from Andre Herrera.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side battled throughout the game, but they were unable to make a breakthrough, with Rose failing to fire a shot at goal after his surging run into the penalty area in stoppage time.

Some supporters on Twitter questioned the left-back’s display at Old Trafford, in particular his threat going forward.

While other fans felt the England international provided a standout and warrior-like performance against Spurs’ top four rivals.
