Tottenham confirmed that Harry Kane suffered damage to his lateral ligaments in an official message on Wednesday.

He suffered the injury during the 4-1 win against Bournemouth, getting his foot trapped under goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, and leaving the pitch straight after the incident.

Tottenham sealed a great win with two second-half goals from Heung-Min Son and one at the end from Serge Aurier.

The news was posted on the official Tottenham Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon.

It's left Tottenham fans fixed in two minds about the news, with a neat split between the pessimists and the optimists.

On the one hand, some fans are saying that it's not as bad as they thought and that Son will step up while he's out.

On the flip side, some fans think it's bad news and are looking at him missing six weeks.

One fan said that he's going to sleep and can someone wake him up in August.
