Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Sissoko display v Bournemouth

By Harvey Byrne

Moussa Sissoko was limited to just six minutes of the pitch in Tottenham’s Saturday victory over Bournemouth, but he did managed to leave fans on Twitter unimpressed.

The 27-year-old Frenchman has had a difficult time in north London after joining for a mega £30million fee from Newcastle in the summer.

Now, on Saturday it was no different as the 27-year-old came on at White Hart Lane for Dele Alli with his side a clear three goals up.

Fellow substitute Vincent Janssen found himself on the score sheet with a fine strike, but Sissoko found that his woes in the team continued as he struggled to control the ball and find his teammates at times.

One fan commented on social media that the Euro 2016 finalist “looks worse every time”, while commented “he barely looks in control of his legs, let alone the ball.”

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Sissoko has played in 21 Premier League matches for Tottenham this season, returning just three assists for the second placed side.

It is now starting to look clear that the former France international is not up to the standards of playing for the north London side, but with four years left on his current contract he may stay with Spurs for a few more years yet.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs fans have humorously trolled Jack Wilshere on Twitter after the match.
