'Dropping a 3/10', 'Terrible' - Tottenham fans slam £75k-a-week player despite win v Palace
Tottenham fans on Twitter have slammed Christian Eriksen for his sloppy performance in the 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
Eriksen, 25, had a very poor start to the London derby game, misplacing a number of passes in the attacking third as Mauricio Pochettino’s men failed to capitalise on a very shaky Palace defence.
The Denmark international came in for some heavy criticism from fans on social media, who were unhappy with how the ex-Ajax star was unable to get a foothold on the game.
Eriksen did however supply the vital assist in the 89th minute when his corner found Harry Kane at the back post to head the ball into the net.
One angry Spurs supporter claimed that the midfield playmaker had a “shocker”.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

Eriksen dropping a 3/10… Kevin Friend a 2/10. We need to be more clinical.

Kane hasn't seen enough of the ball in the first 45. Eriksen oddly poor thus far. No one has stood out. Let's see Son by 65' if it's still deadlocked.

Eriksen has been one of the best players in the Premier League so far this season so his performance against Crystal Palace was certainly a massive shock.
He has made 34 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this term, scoring nine goals and supplying nine assists in the process.
The Telegraph has reported that Eriksen is earning £75,000-a-week on his current deal at Tottenham and while much is said about Daniel Levy’s strict control of the wage budget in North London, there is criticism that he is underpaying his stars.
Eriksen’s weekly earnings is perhaps well short of what many would expect someone one his quality to earn every week.
However more performances like that against Palace won’t help towards his cause of getting a pay rise.
