However, the North Londoners put an end to a 17-year trophy drought when they defeated Manchester United in the Europa League final in May 2025.

Wales international Brennan Johnson etched himself into Spurs history when he scored the winning goal in their Europa League final victory over Man United.

The winger enjoyed a successful 2024/25 season, notching 18 goals and four assists across all competitions.

As reported by BBC Sport, Johnson joined Tottenham for a fee of £45million in September 2023.

4 - Mohammed Kudus (£55million)

Mohammed Kudus became Tottenham's fourth most expensive player ever when he joined from London rivals West Ham in 2025.

The winger made his competitive debut for Spurs when they were beaten by PSG in the UEFA Super Cup final.

As reported by BBC Sport in July 2025, he joined for £55m.

After excelling in the Premier League for Everton, Richarlison has suffered injury problems throughout his Tottenham career.

The Brazil international moved to North London from Merseyside for £60m, as reported by Sky Sports in July 2022.

Tanguy Ndombele left Tottenham to join Nice, and made 25 appearances for the French club in the 2024/25 season.

The France international made over 90 appearances for Spurs between 2019 and 2022 before enduring loan spells away from Tottenham with Lyon, Napoli, and Galatasaray.

According to Sky Sports in 2019, the North London outfit signed Ndombele for a then club-record fee of £63m.

Tottenham's record signing is Dominic Solanke, who helped his side win the Europa League in his first season since joining from Bournemouth.
