Tottenham to green light 23-yr-old exit after agreeing September deal, Serie A giants in pursuit - report
Tottenham are set to give the green light for Vincent Janssen to leave the club on a permanent basis at the end of the season, according to a report.
Turkish news outlet Fotomac claims that Spurs are expected to offload Janssen, 23, next summer and will give him approval to find a new club after Serie A giants Napoli emerged in pursuit of the Netherlands international.
Janssen agreed a deal in September to join Fenerbahce on a season-long loan deal but it now seems that his exit from the North London club will be much more permanent next year.
The 17-times Netherlands international has scored three goals in 11 appearances since moving to Turkey and is yet to really build on what was a poor start to life with Tottenham last time out.
Mauricio Pochettino snapped up Janssen as a back-up option to Harry Kane but after one season in London, the former AZ Alkmaar ace had notched up just six goals in a total of 39 games.

It’s a surprise that Spurs would be so willing to give up on Janssen after barely giving him any starts last season. Fernando Llorente hasn’t proved anywhere near as good a replacement to the Dutchman and has only just scored his first goal for the club. Pochettino has done some good transfer deals with Tottenham but some of his decision-making has been odd. Janssen is still young and deserves another chance to be the back-up striker to Kane that everyone hoped he would be. Llorente on the other hand really didn’t fit the philosophy that Pochettino has been trying to execute with Spurs, mainly due to his age.
