As per FBRef, the midfielder has completed the most passes and had the most touches of any Tottenham player this season (per 90 minutes).
As quoted by The Independent (5 April), Antonio Conte has insisted the Uruguayan’s arrival has made the squad “more complete”.

“You can’t keep quality down. Sometimes it can take some time to bed into a new league before players like him shine through – but he’s certainly doing that now.
“It’s a big, big plus for Tottenham to have him finding his feet and hitting the right form at the right time in the season. The race for that fourth place is really heating up now.
“It’s a massive bonus for them and he looks a really good signing.”
