Tottenham have a 'proper player' in 'outstanding' wonderkid Amo-Ameyaw after what I've seen - Insider

Tottenham fans should be “really excited” by Samuel Amo-Ameyaw after he bagged four goals against Arsenal last week.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Last week, Football Insider revealed Tottenham have offered a scholarship contract to the 15-year-old schoolboy sensation.

This came after the youngster bagged four goals against Arsenal in the Premier League Under-17s Cup last week.

The London giants typically offer scholarships around February or March, with the deals then starting on 1 June.

Amo-Ameyaw is held in high regard at the club’s Hotspur Way headquarters.

Wenham watched the player’s performance v Arsenal first hand and was impressed with what he saw.

“He’s a schoolboy player and hasn’t signed the deal yet,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“The news that he’s being signed up is brilliant. He’s played with the Under 18s at such a young age.

“He’s a really exciting young player and he looks to be a cracking talent. The kid is basically playing in three age groups shows how highly Tottenham rate him.

“This is what impressed me, Tottenham are willing to risk putting him on show.

“That makes him a target for other clubs before he signs those scholarship terms. It makes it far easier for other clubs to swoop in.

“It was a risk but he came in and scored four goals against Arsenal. I was lucky enough to be there, he was outstanding.

“He was really involved in linking up play and Tottenham have a proper player there who can be with us for years and years.”

In other news, it has been claimed this Tottenham transfer set the club back £110m.
