Arsenal, Tottenham, PSG: Front-runners named in race to sign Eli Junior Kroupi
Tottenham have fallen behind Arsenal in the race to sign Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi, sources have told Football Insider.
Roberto De Zerbi is keen to bolster his attacking ranks this summer as Spurs' expensive window continues.
He has already spent over £200million on new arrivals since the end of last season, but is yet to improve his options in the final third.
Bournemouth striker Kroupi has emerged as a top target for the Lilywhites after his outstanding maiden campaign on the south coast.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Arsenal and PSG are more likely to sign him than Spurs due to the lofty fee that the Cherries are set to demand for his services this summer.
Recent reports have claimed that Bournemouth want around £100m to part ways with the 20-year-old.
Spurs could struggle to sign Eli Junior Kroupi as Arsenal and PSG rival move
Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League matches last season as he fired Bournemouth into the Europa League ahead of next term.
Tottenham's North London rivals have been linked to the Frenchman over the last few months, and now look more likely to agree a deal with Bournemouth.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Spurs won't be alone in their pursuit of Kroupi if there's any indication that he could leave.
"PSG are admirers and Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the situation, so it'll be a difficult race to win. Bournemouth don't want to sell and the price tag could maybe put him out of Tottenham's reach."
Richarlison and Dominic Solanke facing uncertain Spurs' futures
Tottenham struggled to score goals regularly last season, hence why De Zerbi is keen to add to his forward options right now.
Richarlison ended the season as their top PL scorer, with 11 goals in 32 games, while fellow striker Solanke struggled through an injury-hit campaign and scored three times in 15 league matches.
Former club scout, Bryan King, has exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Richarlison and Solanke could be sold this summer as Spurs look to raise funds for more new additions.
Recent reports have claimed that Fenerbahce are keen on Richarlison as it stands, while Solanke has previously been linked to Newcastle.
