The manager was backed heavily by Tottenham during the summer transfer window, increasing the expectations of a better season than they have endured in recent years.
However, sections of the fanbase have already grown frustrated with their performances, and De Zerbi is facing pressure to reverse their early-season form.

Former Tottenham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Spurs have no plans to sack De Zerbi in the near future but are expecting him to deliver results sooner rather than later.
The boss has also been outspoken about his frustrations with his players, having questioned their attitudes and commitment, sparking new concerns about his man-management.
With frustrations building behind the scenes and amongst the fans, there is a feeling that the longer Spurs go without a win, the more doubts will creep in about De Zerbi.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Look, no manager in the Premier League can go on for too long with a losing start to the season.
"That’s the job, this game is based on getting results and Roberto De Zerbi will be fully aware of that. One point from three games is not good enough.
"It's not what Tottenham expected this season following their heavy outlay in the transfer window to improve the squad, they were expecting an immediate impact.
"But there'll be no knee-jerk reactions at Tottenham. The club are fully behind De Zerbi and they see him as the man to get things right."
When could De Zerbi be sacked by Tottenham?
While Tottenham are keen to stand by De Zerbi as things stand, there is a recognition that results will need to improve, or they will be forced to make a decision over his future.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness told Football Insider that De Zerbi could be sacked by mid-November if results do not take an immediate turn for the better.
The second international break of this campaign is being eyed as a potential target for Spurs, as they hope to see improved results and performances in the coming months.
De Zerbi will be given time to get his ideas across and turn results around, but with growing concerns about their recent performances, plans are being made behind the scenes.
